How have you kinda seen that transition, both in terms of the specific products and, and companies you worked on, but then also the industry itself and the different kind of use cases for batteries as, you know, batteries improved and perception of those batteries have improved over time?
2:06
Yeah.
2:06
I mean, when I joined Tesla, this was a completely new concept, and batteries were much, much more expensive than they are today, so what you could do with batteries was a lot more limited because of the cost point.
2:17
One of the first things I actually worked on at Tesla was the cost reduction efforts for the Model S, so on the battery side.
2:24
So I'm, I'm very familiar with how important it is to drive down the cost.
2:28
And as costs have come down, we've opened up more and more opportunities to deploy batteries at scale, which is really exciting in applications like electric vehicles on the passenger car side, which I got to work on at Tesla, in the energy storage space, which I also got to spend the very early days of the Tesla energy team.
2:46
And then at Proterra, I was working on electric commercial vehicles, and now we get to repurpose electric vehicle batteries at Redwood to bring lower cost, domestically available energy storage systems to market.
5:09
I guess, how do developers typically kind of react to this, and what is that impact that R- Redwood Materials and, and your approach can have on that gap?
