6:49
What is it? What is it, mate?
6:51
Okay, so, well, pretty much...
6:53
the one rule for the day is no flushing the toilet if you're gonna take a shit just leave it in there but uh and then everyone left i was like the only one on site so i was like we
7:04
need to get a toilet
7:06
went to the toilet and then i'm like you know flush as soon as i flushed it i'm like oh no and i just hear the whole place we're doing arena i hear the whole place just start flooding so i call i call a few of my mates to grab some towels from their house and i just clean it all up, and it was all clean, but I still told my boss and stuff in the morning, and they just thought it was funny.
29:26
Was that the aim of it?
29:28
I think so.
29:28
I think it was very much, you know, there was entertainment all throughout the game.
29:31
There was DJs, there was other dance groups, cheerleaders.
29:35
I think it was just very much, I think they wanted to avoid that kind of weight and in-between boredom.
29:42
I think they wanted to keep the energy up because that's what the presenters and the announcers and stuff were trying to do throughout all of the games was just make, because I imagine if you're not from Scotland or somewhere that's easily... you know accessible country-wise and you're playing in a foreign country and everyone's cheering for the opposing team or no one's cheering at all i can imagine it's quite hard to to keep your morale up and i think that's what you know the the organizers of this games were trying to do was make sure that the energy was always there no matter who was playing
31:37
Does Mop Man live on after these games, or do you at least hope some opportunity comes from this newfound fame?
31:44
You know, I think...
3:48
Was that the aim of it?
3:50
I think so.
3:51
I think it was very much, you know, there was entertainment all throughout the game.
3:54
You know, there was DJs, there was other dance groups, cheerleaders.
3:57
I think it was just very much, I think they wanted to avoid that kind of waiting in between boredom.
4:04
I think they wanted to keep the energy up because that's what the presenters and the announcers and stuff were trying to do throughout all of the games was just make, because I imagine if you're not from Scotland or somewhere that's easily... you know, accessible country-wise.
4:21
And you're playing in a foreign country and everyone's cheering for the opposing team or no one's cheering at all.
5:59
Does Mop Man live on after these games, or do you at least hope some opportunity comes from this newfound fame?
2:49
First of all, I guess my first question is, uh, how do you feel about being dubbed Mop Man? Is that the global nickname you always wanted? [laughs]
2:57
You know what? If you had asked me, if you'd sat me down and gone, "What nickname would you really love?" I don't think it would've made the top 100, but you know, beggars can't be choosers, I guess.
4:49
... to get you to the closing ceremony.
4:51
Well, I did, I did run an idea past my boss today, and she's at the point where she's like, "Just do what you want." So I'm gonna try and mix it up a little bit more, try and keep it fresh for the last two days.
3:40
So how did this come about, CJ? How did suddenly you become Mop Man at the Commonwealth Games?
3:47
Well, I have two different agents.
3:49
One for like... stage and and dance and that sort of stuff and then i have another agent that does like my tv work and sometimes some film stuff so i've done a little bit of background work for uh apple tv and um ewan mcgregor's not ewan mcgregor i'm lying to your face right now why am i i would have just my mom's in the back what is his name The Scottish guy that you love, and I did the film, California Scheman.
8:18
Have you ever been to New Zealand?
8:19
No, I keep trying to get, I'm trying to bribe him to go home, because obviously he's shooting down in London now, and I'm like, can you not, like, go home and visit family and just bring me? Yeah.
8:29
Because they have, like, this big farm and all of the...
8:35
The choirs that sing in New Zealand, he shows me all of the, because he's also Maori.
8:40
So he speaks to me like when we're on the phone, like he'll speak to me in te reo Maori.
