So what do you think?

So, you know, again, that's a, a great question, and it's, it's a very complex, nuanced answer, I think.

So I'll start with my first thought when I look back, and it kind of makes me want to apologize [laughs] to the families that I saw, but in my defense, it was the way things were then.

So my first job out of graduate school in, I'm gonna date myself now, the 1980s, was at a children's hospital.

Wonderful, wonderful institution doing great work to this day.

However, the model, and at the time I really did not like it, I felt like it was a cookie cutter model, where I was seeing these very complex families who didn't fit into the cookie cutter.

And I would, you know, meet the families in the waiting room, take their little two-year-old from them down to my therapy room, do what I thought I was supposed to do, and then deliver the child back.

So I am curious for my listeners to hear, how do you think the context of where you live and the government projects that you've been on has influenced how communication supports families in Canada?
