6:40
Yeah.
6:40
And sure enough, within just a few minutes, I could feel the sinuses start to clog up.
6:47
I could feel my, this eye especially start to pulse, my ear plugged where I could barely hear out of my left ear, and then I started getting itchy and, and I had a reaction.
6:58
Now, I know enough about my body to know that this is not an actual allergic reaction, and I could take a Benadryl to get rid of it, but instead I've learned to just talk to my body and say, "Okay, I hear you.
7:11
There's something you're asking me to heal." So I read the reaction as a message from my body as opposed to, oh no, in the past, right, year ...
7:21
For years and years and years, I did this.
7:22
Allergic reaction, Benadryl.

Now, looking back, what did that experience teach you about the relationship between emotional experiences and the body?
9:34
This is such a beautiful question.
9:35
And thank you, by the way, I really have healed it all.
9:38
So I have no residual trauma left around what happened to me.
9:45
But I will say that what's fascinating and what I learned through my own experience is that our body doesn't, when we go through traumas like this, our body doesn't have the ability to process those emotions, right? I was six years old when it first happened.
10:00
My body couldn't even, fathom how to process that type of an emotion so what my brain did is said it adapted and said well we're not going to let you feel these emotions because it's too much for you so we're going to process your emotions somatically so my body learned that feeling my emotions weren't wasn't safe but process so i processed it everything physiologically and biologically instead of emotionally So and then when what happened to me at 14, that reinforced that adaptive behavior.
10:36
And then at 15, that reinforced the adaptive behavior even more.

13:43
Now, how do these dimensions interact to shape the way we experience life?
14:40
So you created the six frequencies of human regulation framework, right? So can you break those down for listeners?
14:50
Sure.
14:51
So when we think of wanting to heal, it's important to realize that there's many aspects to healing.
14:58
And I think most of us know that, right? That it's not healing.
15:00
Isn't just a one thing, take a pill and we all get better.
15:03
There's many aspects to it.
15:05
And I call those different aspects, the six frequencies of regulate human regulation.

7 MINS LATER

22:09
specifically younger adults right so if you could leave people in their 20s with one message about healing identity and self-understanding what would it be
19:25
Mm-hmm.
19:27
And I've learned that that's a trigger and triggers aren't bad.
19:31
So I've learned to go, oh, I was triggered by something, but triggers aren't bad.
19:34
I'm going to just go see what this trigger was trying to tell me.
19:37
So what EBDT does is it teaches us, it teaches our body, trains our body to go back into a state of homeostasis one layer at a time by addressing the patterns that our body created through dysregulation.
19:56
So for instance, we first, let me look at like, what's the core thing we want to heal today? What's the one thing we do timeline healing.
20:04
So we go back through everybody's life and we say, okay, this event, but what is the, what, how is your body speaking to you about this event? And that's what's so different for everybody, right? For some clients it's through it's, it's hormonal.
21:39
But what we're really healing is the pattern of
