And it sounds like there's a huge diversity in theme and approach to the collection, Ciarán.

Absolutely, yeah.

I think part of what I like about this collection, actually, is O'Mahony's ability to switch between registers, so she can move from the mellifluous to the humorous, and sometimes within the space of a few lines.

There's a poem called Flora and Fauna, which more or less does what it says on the tin, so it's a list of English and Latin names for the trees that can be found along the banks of the River Dodder.

But this is followed immediately after by another poem that reads...

All that Latin.

What a poser.

And I know that you have a poem that you've picked yourself and it's inspired by a painting by Eva Gonzalez and it's dedicated to your own sister, isn't it?
