Are they like ghost hunters?
25:03
Yeah, they're basically monster hunters, basically, or ghost hunters.
25:08
It's kind of like a family business.
25:11
Their dad was a ghost hunter and there's a whole community of them throughout the world.
25:18
And most of the ghost hunters are people that who's lost someone to a monster, right? And when you lose someone to a monster, you normally go out and you hunt down that monster and you begin hunting monsters and saving people wherever you can.
25:33
And Sam and Dean are, like, not only the top of their game, but they also cause a lot of problems in the hunter community as well, because they just stir up shit a lot, you know what I'm saying? So, yeah, there's a lot of memes that go around about them where, you know, if Walking Dead happened, you know, or if there's an alien, alien invasion, or if Darkseid came or something, Sam and Dean would do this, this and this and take him out because they fought so much insane stuff in the story and they just get out of it no matter what.
26:06
So, um, Yeah, it's basically about two brothers that hunt monsters, ghosts, demons, and also deal with their own inner demons as well because of their trauma in their childhood and the way they were raised.

7 MINS LATER

I'm curious as to like, you know, what we can expect from this Dean Winchester series you got.
7:43
Is there any overlap from like the world of I.T. into comics? Like, is there any skills from that old life in that world, in that job that that you found come in handy that has come in handy, I guess, being a comic creator?
7:57
Oh, just, you know, just being aware of technology and of its advancements and how it can benefit us, but also how it can, you know, freaking kill us, right? Just seeing, just being aware of what we're using and how we're using it.
8:10
And I'm not that he's a techie guy, but I'm just aware of the technology that we're using right now for art and how it can be dangerous, right? But it also can be extremely beneficial in a way.
8:21
Ironically, I was in IT in a history department, right? Hmm.
8:25
So it wasn't the IT necessarily decided to translate it, but as we were working on Bitterroot, you know, I used to always go to certain professors' offices and say, hey, was this a thing? Was this a thing? What book would you recommend? That kind of thing.
8:37
So I kind of had this source like right there as Bitterroot was being developed.
8:41
Or just anything I'm working on that has an alternative history, you know, I used to always go to these guys because it was a really fascinating scene.

13 MINS LATER

21:40
I guess if you don't mind, I know this is like such a boilerplate question, but how did the idea of Bitterroot come together? And how did this trifecta of you, Sanford Green, and David Walker all come together?
