11:24
Chris, what, what do you think about this? Is, is it a good idea?
11:27
Mm-hmm.
11:28
Well, from an outside and a markets guy point of view, I do think it's a good idea, uh, because they're moving from eight meetings to six meetings a year.
11:38
And if I could just, uh, quote, uh, Ronald Reagan from 30, 40 years ago, right? He said that the problem of the government is the government.
11:47
And so as a markets guy, I think it is good that the government is less involved in the, uh, uh, market activity.
11:55
And also, if you look at, uh, Mr. Warsh's, um, um, recent events, I mean, he has a lot to focus on internally and then perhaps, you know, the more external communication piece is something less of an importance on his agenda.
12:10
I mean, internally speaking, uh, we know that, uh, three presidents, uh, from Dallas, from, um, like Cleveland and also Minneapolis, dissented recently, right? So not supporting his, uh, move to s- hold the rates, uh, unchanged.

26:17
but by selling euros, which is also rather odd as well.
3:29
Oof.
3:29
Yeah.
3:29
In fact, that's one of the, the, the crazy things too, is when we typically think of maggots, we think of, oh, you know, dead bodies and, you know, you're watching a, a movie, CSI, and you come up and they have the maggots.
3:41
Um, most, a lot of maggots, which are called secondary maggots, um, or, or facultative, they prefer decaying material and/or, and/or bodies.
3:53
Um, but screw worms, man, they like their, their beef grade A.
3:57
They want nice flesh that you and I would, you know, again, throw on the, on the grill.
4:03
So they will eat living tissue, and that's where we get into primary myiasis.

32 MINS LATER

35:58
So they're like, "I just cleaned up a mouse yesterday."
4:39
Are we in a bubble? What's going on? Chris, can you give us some perspective on where things sit from an AI trade?
4:46
Sure.
4:46
That's the trillion dollar question.
4:47
And we all know over the past couple of years, AI has really featured in terms of driving the leadership.
4:52
It's been leadership in the market.
4:54
It's been the one theme.
4:55
And that, you know, over the past couple years has broadened out from the sort of conventional areas in technology and communication services into other sectors, such as industrials and utilities.

15 MINS LATER

19:56
Do you want to comment on from a macro standpoint, the Fed, do you have any thoughts on Warsh being in as chairman and just what this all means and connection or disconnection to the current administration?
ChanceHOST
6:05
But what sort of what happened to that? Is it still going in that direction? Because I also see ulterior of things going on where there seems to be a emergence of other racial groups in your church.
6:17
Yeah, so that's a very good, interesting point.
6:21
So, I mean, it kind of goes back to I mean, the title of my page is is not the Legion, because, you know, when I came back, I saw how like I felt like everybody in my community is like so.
6:34
They're so asleep to what's really going on.
6:36
And we have all these milquetoast politicians like Mitt Romney, Spencer Cox.
6:41
These people are the opposite of what you want in the Republican Party.
6:45
They're the worst of the worst.

37 MINS LATER

ChanceHOST
44:05
We don't want to be conquered.
20:29
So should the Bank of Japan just get on with it and raise rates?
20:34
Get on with it, yeah, because I think we look at the US dollar and then this is still, I think, very convincing to me that we will be seeing increasing interest rate in the US dollar market.
20:47
And so I do think that William has a good point there.
20:51
And also I want to double click on the point William said earlier about the central bank independence issue here, right? So a lot of people still criticize, I think, the Asian government in terms of interfering with a lot of rates and also markets.
21:10
And again, I mean, you asked earlier about whether the US was like, you know, going through a small correction, just a small correction, as I said, and also long term, there's still a lot of expectation to have a good market because as an investor, we say that, you know, U.S., even though it's 5% of the population, but it's more than 65% of the global equity stock market capitalization because of the respect that people have in terms of their central bank independence historically maybe it's changing now but historically speaking has been independent and also this the clear separation of government and also businesses right that's why people are comfortable in terms of looking at big ipo such as spacex open ai and anthropic and then more money is likely going to be sucked up by all these big ipos and so i do think that with all that you know, expectation and positive, and the job numbers that we mentioned earlier by you, that rates are likely going to go up both in the US and very likely in Japan as well.

13 MINS LATER

35:38
Christian, does this feel to you like a sort of landmark moment where you've got SoftBank, now the largest company in Japan, and companies like Toyota are seen as rather old-fashioned, rather boring, rather stayed out of touch sort of companies?
35:55
Yeah, let's talk about the old-fashioned companies, right? I mean, the so-called, you know, the older guys.
36:03
And I would just, you know, pick on your Toyota point, right? So GM is doing a lot, I think, domestically.
22:46
Yeah.
22:48
This terrible cloud, this dark, dark cloud, which is, in effect, Saruman, hangs over the entire film.
22:57
Somebody once said to me, "Well, there isn't a great deal of you in the second film." And I said, "Well, no.
23:02
Some of it's been, uh, um, been cut, as happens to every actor.
23:06
Some of it I very much regret." I said, "No, no, there isn't a great deal of me talking and, you know, as much as there was in the first film, where you are establishing the character more." But everybody who's said that to me has said, "But the shadow of Saruman looms over everything that is happening throughout the entire film.
23:28
This dark menace," as somebody put it, this, this awful cloud.
23:33
Because they talk about Saruman's forces, Saruman's armies.

1 HR 10 MINS LATER

93:34
I thought when we shot it, I thought, "Oh, I didn't think that it had worked at all."
23:56
Mm.
23:57
And you say to yourself, "Can I make a contribution to this story? Is it worth appearing in? Irrespective of the size of the role, is it important?" Is the scene important? Is the part worth playing? But above all, can I make a contribution which really matters to the film? And that is the only thing that matters, as far as I'm concerned as an actor.
24:21
Which is why I will do a day in a movie- I told you not to hassle me ... or two- I am the reverend of this church ... or a month, or two, or six months, or nearly a year.
24:30
It, it's irrelevant.
24:32
People talk about taking big parts or small parts, and the answer to that always is, there are no small parts, only small actors.
24:40
I'm sorry.
24:41
I mean, that's been used many times.

48 MINS LATER

72:42
[laughs]
