fill up the pockets and like yeah you know
39:23
yeah but i mean it leaves another challenge of like knowing that you i always check all my fishing gear so all my rides are checked all my reels are checked um and i mean i have to be brutally honest i've been extremely lucky and fortunate over the years of traveling that i haven't lost a lot of bags i mean i've lost a a lot of bags but not at times when i really needed it so it was like on my way back home or it's normally like the legs to africa i mean somewhere when we get close to this african continent things go missing for a little while i mean they always seem to to find home again but um now i've been i've been very fortunate over the years um with luggage you're not always on a skiff um and that's something we it's definitely changed over the years they do a lot more polling and fishing from the skiffs on places like providence and some of the other outer atolls but um in my my days on the flats it was a lot of waiting so to be able to carry all the things in your backpack um it it was challenging you know and like to be able to change lenses being on the water things are chaotic you still have to really take care of the client in a lot of time like a lot of cases with line management and making sure they're fine um or you have to run back and get the boat if it's a big fish to chase it so you really had to know when to put the camera down and when it was like worth filming um but client and the fish always came kind of first i never i I never like felt that I put the client's experience in jeopardy by lifting up the camera.

Right.

And Oman recently, that was a special one.

Every time you go back, there's just something new.
41:03
Like the last time I really wanted to take the permit box, which I hadn't fished for before.

I've formed a really good connection with Ed, the owner of No Boundaries No Mind.

what um what would you say this is not it might be an easy question might be impossible but you can try it um proudest moment in terms of you know when we catch a fish you know you always try to decide how much did I do to catch that fish was he just hungry was he just in the mood or your proudest moment did you have some have you had some generally proud moments you thought I worked I picked the fly this was definitely something a hard-ass achievement there's um

And where was that? Where were you guiding? Where'd you start?
25:19
Yeah, so I started guiding in, uh, 2010, and that was basically it consisted...
25:27
Let's, let's start from 2011.
25:28
That's kind of when I filled my year.
25:30
So 2011, I started guiding in this, in, in a place called St. Brandon, so basically Seychelles if you would call it that.
25:37
So a full Seychelles season was about six months, which was split into two seasons, a s- a spring and a fall season.
25:45
And then in between I did Kamchatka for nine weeks, and then I also, at that time I used to still compete on the World Fly Fishing circuit, so that would kind of take me about three, three weeks out of my year traveling mainly in Europe and competing.
