Sunny and 75, is that a pretty good way to describe the week, generally speaking? Chris Yates, Chief Meteorologist, WMBD-TV.

We've got a nice little blocking pattern that is kind of set up with high pressure building across the country, and these blocking patterns just don't move.
11:39
And so when you get stuck in the right spot with one of them, things tend to be quite nice.
11:44
And since the high pressure system that we do have is come from Canada, it's going to keep all the humidity away.
11:51
Temperature's fairly comfortable.
11:53
As you mentioned, we will get back up towards 80 by the middle of the week.
11:57
That's just due to there's a cold front coming in, but with very little moisture, that front's going to pass through with nothing more than a wind shift.
12:23
I didn't know that was possible.
47:27
I mean, if it's gonna get to 75 and 80, though, it's not like that's gonna last till 3:00 in the afternoon, I wouldn't think.
47:32
No.
47:32
So the dew points every night here, they're generally gonna be stuck into the 40s.
47:37
Um, but the...
47:39
And while the air temperature isn't quite that cold, the actual ground temperature can get a little bit closer.
47:44
Um, the dew points are gonna come up a little bit here for the middle part of the week.
47:47
So, uh, we'll be, they'll be back up to near 60 on Wednesday, and then they'll start to drop off again into the 30s and 40s.
49:29
What about, though, out west, October heat wave in California, but just some of Calif- I know it's a big state, so it's probably a pretty wide swath, but this huge heat wave, but doesn't seem to be taking a whole lot of space, doesn't seem to be advancing toward Nevada or the mountains or anything like that.
