But I'd love to hear just a little bit more from you about what your life was like living and working in 1970s New York.
16:31
Well, the 1970s, I had a very insular lifestyle.
16:35
My whole life was basically working with Halston, Vogue, the people that I knew.
16:41
We'd all interrelate because we'd always be seeing Andy Warhol and the models that I knew.
16:47
We were all interrelated.
16:49
So we'd be socializing all at the same time.
16:52
So it would be the fashion circle, the circle for sort of like entertainment, meaning like Liza Minnelli, Laura McCall and people.

Can you tell us about that?
9:36
Can you tell us about how you were discovered as a model? This is such a fabulous story.
9:41
Yeah, well, you know, Mademoiselle was basically focusing on girls that went to college and that had style and young people of that 20 to maybe 30 year age group.
9:54
And they would go to the colleges and pick certain students and highlight them in their magazine.
10:00
And so I was discovered by Mademoiselle and they did an article on me called She Got Style.
10:09
So once I did the shooting with Gustav Peterson, and what's really interesting is my editor at that time for Mademoiselle was Debbie Turbeville.
10:21
Wow.
10:25
the iconic photographer of the bathhouse years later became my friend and she was she was the editor for the layout for Mademoiselle wow and they would encourage you to be like a guest editor for the magazine and everything.
