And so what do either kids or, this is kind of a two-part question, what do kids and men, it's going to be two different approaches here, but what do they need once the porn or the addiction has entered the picture? Here's the truth,
28:03
you know, on the subject of filters.
28:06
And then we'll get into, you know, what really helps.
28:09
Filters are going to do their job, right? Blockers are going to do their job.
28:13
Whatever you happen to install on your devices, they're there to do a job and they're going to do it.
28:18
At the end of the day, the best filter that anyone is ever going to have is going to be themselves.
28:25
It's going to be their own intuition and their own sense of wherewithal.

You don't know if there's, You're even questioning to the point, is there actually a society of elites that have controlled things for the whole time and they sacrifice babies and drink their blood? And it sounds crazy, right? But then you think about it's like, well, maybe it's not so crazy after all.
1:35
Yes, so take us back to your early years, right? So before you became an educator and recovery coach, what first made you interested in, you know, helping young people navigate difficult internal struggles?
1:53
Well, I remember vividly being 14 years old, not knowing really where to turn or who I could trust when it comes to the way my body was changing, especially when it came to my relationship with the internet.
2:13
You know, most of the things that I talk about, you know, with my clients are about something that is not always the most comfortable thing to talk about.
2:22
And that is the world of pornography.
2:25
And to make a long story short, that's something that I was involved with for a long time.
2:31
It really dominated my decision-making, and especially when I was young, when it's expected to have certain types of thinking change and the way my body responds to the world changing.
2:45
But again, I also know what it's like to feel like I was ashamed of the way I was feeling.

19:55
that
3:34
Give us some more information about where you come from and what you're doing now.
3:39
Yeah, absolutely, Tanya.
3:41
Thank you so much for having me.
3:42
So yeah, my name is Chris Rogers.
3:44
I am from New York, born and raised, and as far as who I am and where I come from in Tim minutes or less.
3:53
Well, yeah, you know, as far as what I do professionally today, I work within the addiction recovery field.
3:58
And yeah, it's true.

What we have done with pornography, is taken that gift and turned it inside out can you talk a little bit more about the control the power the um the absolute opposite of selflessness that pornography is
27:43
That sounds like it really – because just to your point about having the feeling because you're stepping into those shoes and the added benefit of writing it out slows you down enough to really consider that, right? And that's why you said notebook, right? And it's not – it would have to involve – being slow enough and it would have to include like you would handwriting it has to be the way that it's done so that you can go down and then separate but once you separate that i think that there's a lot of value in and kind of realizing that it is it's just a it's just a one sliver of who you truly are and so you can you can maybe help that right wow and that's what it is
28:24
and and Fast forward about a year and a half of doing this exercise, a year and a half of having a dialogue with my addict self.
28:32
That's the name I kept on calling it.
28:35
I finally learned what this part wanted to the point where I actually changed the name of the subpersonality.
28:42
When I finally discovered it's the part of me that wants to stay a boy, a.k.a. free of responsibilities.
28:48
I ended up renaming my subpersonality Peter Pan Sr., Right.
28:53
It's the part who always wants to stay a boy.

And, and so I guess, you know, like back to the, to the teen element of it, right? Like, what are you seeing out there? Like I, you know, how many of these teens, because now I'm just thinking about like, you know, how cooperative
