Well, the book is called Jesse Found in Heaven.

And the story behind that title is an extraordinary experience that I had long, long years after I suffered the miscarriage.

I was just a young mum.

We were running a commune for young hippies coming to Christ.

And I fell pregnant, overjoyed of course.

Right.

So people, they're seeing the news now, but they're like, how did we get here?

You know, in 1948, the United States Supreme Court ruled that reapportionment is a political thicket into which the judiciary should not wade and ruled it non-justicable.

They didn't want to get involved.

That means they're not going to mess with it.

They're not going to mess with it.

And then the great state of Alabama comes up, and the Democrats had refused to reapportion the state legislature since 1901.

It was the 70s.
