And so what, what, what, what was the draw to sort of climate work? Uh, was that an interest for you personally before it became an academic thing or?

Yes.

It was something I was aware of even when I was in the electricity industry, which I joined at more or less the time of peak coal burning.

So it's interesting that last year, or the year before last actually, we got rid of coal burning in the UK for, for electricity generation, so that's in my lifetime.

But so even then I was aware that coal was about the worst thing you could burn for the climate, and so it was something that was in my mind.

And then really this PhD opportunity came up.

It sounded like an interesting project.
