Mm.
17:09
And that's done through, the first way is done through diversification.
17:16
You need to diversify your, um, where you put your money in order to reduce risk as much as possible.
17:24
And, um, it's knowing the differences between the risk and return characteristics of different, um, elements of cash, of investing in stocks and shares, or investing in property.
17:42
They all have different risks and return profiles.
17:48
And once you sort of work towards understanding what the long-term returns are of all of those different elements, those building blocks, you can blend them together and diversify them so that you can take a little bit of the high risk of inve- of investing in sort of stocks and shares, blend that with a little bit of property, and blend that with a little bit of cash, with a little bit of sort of what's called fixed interest or government bonds, and by that way- You can mitigate against some of the volatility that might happen over time.
18:28
You get a much smoother line over time rather than that jagged rollercoaster ride that some people, um, suffer.

31:25
Mm.
14:08
They're life savings, right? Why would they hand it to come to you if you don't have any credentials? Because
14:19
I feel that there is a lot of people who are I think the word is intimidated.
14:36
by practitioners in the industry.
14:41
And so therefore that doesn't engender a strong relationship where somebody really buys into you and will come back to you again and again and again.
14:57
So I am trying to build the rapport without any of the titles and all of the other bells and whistles that are attached to my industry.
15:10
I've learned from what happens between people when it comes to money and when it comes to giving advice, and I'm taking my own approach.
15:22
So if somebody is asking me for my credentials, I'm more than happy to give it to them.

21:34
So what is the specific outcome you're helping your ICP achieve?
3:19
How do we do this? How do we invest like a professional and minimize our risk when we are just kind of a lay person who doesn't have access to all that stuff? I think
3:31
the first place to start essentially is understanding who you are as a person.
3:38
So you understand in your tolerance for risk.
3:41
Investing isn't for those who don't first go through those steps of asking themselves certain questions.
3:52
And I'll give you an example.
3:54
When I was working with financial advisors and we do the risk questionnaire, those questions would be, how would you feel if your investment was underwater? That's the term they use in the industry.
4:11
But basically, if it was negative for a period of one year, a year and a half, two years, they give those three examples.
7:47
So what are some of your proudest moments or biggest successes you've seen with your clients?
