Wow.

And so I've been doing some some pre work.

I don't want to show up like a dumb hick from Kentucky.

So I've been doing some I've been in some background and just watching over the last two years how Greek Orthodoxy has grown and what they're saying.

and and bro it comes back to so it comes back to a few things right it's it's stable so this idea of catechesis and catechism right the the repetition men men crave that stability right because we live in in a world that is literally as the bible describes built on sifting sand I mean, it's just sand.

Right.

And so so a lot of young men, they they see this.

shows me how bad I am.

[upbeat music] Uh, tonight, uh, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna preach tonight, I'm gonna teach.

I'm gonna teach tonight.

Um, we're gonna look at a story in the Old Testament.

If, if you haven't picked up yet, uh, I did a lot of my, um, academic work in the Old Testament.

I, I believe that, that, that often today we neglect the Old Testament.

Um, everything in this, in this book points to King Jesus, and there's, there's richness in the Old Testament that sometimes in the, in the modern church, uh, we try to disconnect, but it's all, it's all one story of God's redeeming love- Amen ... of, of God setting apart a people, uh, for himself, and, and he uses that people, today he uses his, his church to redeem a lost world, amen? Amen.

[laughs]

Not uncommon.

You go to Israel today, the homes are built up off the ground.

The animals live on the first floor.

Not uncommon.

I'm assuming he thought a goat, a ram, something would run out.

So he goes and he fights the Ammonites, and he wins.

That's right.
