But like, what moved you and pushed you into action?
17:37
Man, you just get tired of it.
17:38
You know, you get tired of the...
17:41
The thing that really bothers me is that there's always seems to be a tone of celebration, you know? what we did, look how great we are.
17:51
Look how awesome things are.
17:54
And then, you know, at our garden, we got people coming up, just trying to get water, you know, every single stoplight you had on the east side is somebody asking for, you know, money and all over the city.
18:07
trash, like you wouldn't believe dumping sites, you know, people really, really going through real struggle.
21:28
what's your solution to other than you going out and and doing this yourself what solutions can you present to the city to be like hey we need to do something about this
11:26
Maybe you can talk a little bit about the difference between the retail and the wholesale and how that transition has been over the last few years.
11:34
Yeah, it's been fun.
11:37
You know, I think it started to shape my ideas around growing Ruby Jeans in a bigger way.
11:43
And it gave me perspective on our, you know, brick and mortar locations.
11:49
You know, I look at retail as, you know, the place of our brand, you know, the culture of it, the feel of it, the environment, what it actually means and feels like and smells like.
12:03
Whereas wholesale is the actual reach and the ability to take that story, that rooted story that, you know, starts in Kansas City is very deeply rooted in Kansas City and then shares it outwardly.
12:15
And when we got into Whole Foods, you know, and first we started at 35 stores, it was this big, like, oh, my God, we're in Whole Foods, you know, and it was a really big moment.
13:24
with the Ruby Jeans Foundation and everything? How's that going?
