I always share my testimony at the beginning of every message because you never know who's in the room.
0:15
and sometimes they will always find themselves in what god's done for you so i grew up on the border of the united states of mexico and you probably have heard of my city but for like all the wrong reasons because like nobody vacations in my city okay you go there to visit family or to do something extremely illegal that's the old now i'm not lying i'm telling you if you heard about the cartel wards the drug trafficking the kidnapping the ransoming those are all my cousins family business so by the age of 12 I grew up by age 12 I had a drug addiction a lust problem and an anger issue but I love to play basketball come on anybody love to hoop in here anyone yeah oh that's terrible they're like four of us all right great let's keep it going so I I remember I would go to this church that had a gym right and and they would open it up right before their youth service to get all the students into the gym well uh when they would fill up the gym they would turn it into a service and preach at you when they turned into a I would sneak out.
1:08
I would dip and leave and find some rust to play.
1:10
That just wasn't, I didn't want God in my life until one day the youth pastor came to me and he said, hey, do you want to go to church camp? Now, don't judge me.
0:00
[upbeat music] Are you ready for the word? Yeah.
0:15
Now listen, you know I don't do no quiet church.
0:17
Come on, talk to me for a second.
0:18
All right? I'm too Mexican for that.
0:20
If you can't tell, this is a permanent tan.
0:23
This isn't a bought tan.

[upbeat music] I recognize I got some new friends in the room.
0:16
I see some familiar faces from conference, and recognizing that, let me kind of tell you my story so you know [laughs] where this wild Mexican is coming from.
0:22
I grew up on the border of the United States and Mexico, and I promise you news of my city has made its way around the globe for all the wrong reasons, 'cause you only go to my city for two reasons.
0:34
You go there to visit family, or you go there to do something illegal, or trafficking something illegal, or do something illegal, or start something illegal.
0:41
Everything's illegal except the air.
0:43
All right? Like, everything.
10:31
And has there ever been any tough projects that you've worked on where you'll never forget that project? Or was there anything that just comes top of mind where you're like, wow, that project was a big one or a tough one that you made it through, but it was a good learning for you?
10:51
Yeah, that's a good question.
10:53
I think it's all like relevant to the time in our in our company.
10:59
Right.
10:59
And so every you know, every you know, I remember when we started when I started, I couldn't get my license.
11:07
I had I have a felony right now.
11:10
I since got it kind of.
