Chloe RollingsGUEST
So in the past, we had, um, been holding conferences very similar to, to Rotary conferences and conventions that other Rotaractors had been a part of.

Chloe RollingsGUEST
And whenever we spoke to people about these conferences, they said the best part was the, the opportunity to connect people to place and really celebrate being part of a global network in, in somebody's local community.

Chloe RollingsGUEST
We brought in a director of transformation last year to really look at what Rotaract looks like across Great Britain and Ireland, and, uh, the person in post, Danny Brown, is absolutely brilliant, and he came up with this idea of Clubs Connect, where we take, um, a, a host club and say to them, "If we can support you, if we can do this in partnership, can we hold a weekend event where people can come to your club, come to a meeting, come to an event, maybe like your president's handover, and then on another day we do a bit of a service project within the local community that you're really passionate about?" And it was really about asking that question, "If you could get 20 volunteers to do something for a day in your community, what would you want us to do?" And it's almost like a bit of a hit squad.

Chloe RollingsGUEST
Um, and, and that's visible opportunities as well, adding that sort of, uh, local, national, uh, collaboration.

So do you think s- perhaps Rotary sometimes need to rethink how it talks about giving and, and about philanthropy to younger members?
