that process that you have to go through

yeah uh well when i was in eighth grade me and my other friends um my one friend's older brother was in drumline and we he's older than us so we obviously looked up to him and he was like you guys should join drumline and so we all did we joined drumline we just went on cymbals because we never played anything before in our lives it was going to be our first year in band and so we just did cymbals and we did that all together and then Going to drum major, I think I wanted there to be a good leadership position.

I wanted to make sure things got done with everything that happened last year.

I knew that things were going to be good in what was going to happen.

As far as the audition process, a little scary.

What we had to prepare for it though was we had to do one of our songs called I Love Rock and Roll.

We did two years ago, and we had to conduct that whole song.

So I want you to talk a little bit about the lore of the drumline and what was your role in all of that and just what makes the drumline so special.
