11:08
Will you do it?
11:08
Kathy, it sounds like so much fun.
11:10
It...
11:11
I, oh, my goodness, you have the best ideas, and you know I adore working with you.
11:15
If you need an answer right now, my automatic answer's no, but if you can give me 24 or 48 hours to talk to Daniel and to pray about it, I'd love to get back to you after having a chance to think about it, but if you need the answer right now, I'm gonna have to say no, because I'm in a, I'm in a season right now where everything's an automatic no if it's not already on my calendar.
14:10
Mm
14:10
... as I'm coming out of the nos and starting to say yeses again.
14:13
I've tended to be a rescuer, but I don't want to d- to drive the, the ambulance anymore.
3:50
Which you are, by the way.
3:51
Yes.
3:52
You know, the description in the dictionary is a description of a wave coming crashing over and turning you completely upside down, and when I speak on this, I use a slide of an enormous tsunami wave, and that's what it feels like, whether it's an external overwhelm because of the outside circumstances, or some of us, it's the internal overwhelm.
4:11
We have huge emotions, I call it the emotion ocean, coming up.
4:14
But whatever it is, it feels like this force that is absolutely about to come over you, and take over you, and make it so that...
4:22
I mean, if you've ever been tumbled in a wave in the ocean, you can't breathe.
4:25
You c- you don't, you're so disoriented, you don't even know which way is up.

15 MINS LATER

19:33
[laughs]
9:26
Yeah.
9:26
I just want to piggyback on this.
9:28
We have a mutual friend, Sherry Fletcher, and she doesn't even wait for things to expire.
9:33
When I was at her house a couple of years ago and she had made this great pasta salad and we had eaten as much as we wanted.
9:39
And I watched her throw it out, the leftovers out at the end of our time together.
9:44
And I was like, what are you doing? And she said, nobody's going to eat it.
9:48
She was going to travel.

9 MINS LATER

18:56
Exactly.
2:23
Is it even harder for HSPs to stay out of the stuck zone?
2:30
I think so.
2:31
And, you know, part of it, one of the things, um, in the question itself, perfectionism, perfectionism is the dark side.
2:38
It's kind of the flip side of the HSP strength of being a deeply reflective thinker and, um, one of the things that comes along with that is we can be accused of overthinking everything and taking it to that extreme.
2:52
And so this is why it's so important to make those pre-decisions ahead of time So that when the time comes, we don't start relitigating things and we don't start moving the goalposts.
3:05
That's one of the hardest things for me when it comes to making decisions.
3:09
I think I've made it.

12 MINS LATER

15:01
How about you? How do we decide? Is there anything that I haven't mentioned?
