So the first one is like, what exactly is lipedema and how is it different from lymphedema or obesity?
5:56
Right.
5:56
Well, a lot of people assume, sometimes assume that lipoedema is just a person's overweight.
6:02
It is a high accumulation of fat cells, but it's within the tissues.
6:05
It's dispersed, but it's not as easily withdrawn from the body as other types of body fat.
6:11
And when these fat cells get stuck, stuck is a good word for it, but people will see oftentimes that their hands or feet are spared.
6:19
Often it's in the lower extremities and people will notice like shelving of their lower extremities down near the ankle.
