Mm-hmm
14:01
... for me at the time.
14:02
I desperately wanted to breastfeed, and because her mouth was so incredibly bruised and sore, she really struggled.
14:10
She also developed jaundice, so the bruising caused a, a spike in bilirubin in her blood.
14:17
So we ended up staying in hospital for longer.

6 MINS LATER

20:30
And in the UK, what do you expect to see, Charlie, if I was speaking to you a couple of years from now?
20:35
We really hope to see this widely rolled out into clinical practice.
20:39
Absolutely, we would love to see midwives using it, the device, and there's a real eagerness to do that.
5:44
Uh, you got involved after experiencing a forceps birth with your daughter, uh, Edie, who's now nine, and it really left an impression on you.
5:54
Yes, absolutely.
5:56
Yeah, so my daughter, Edie, she was delivered after a failed forceps attempt, actually, and it went to, uh, an emergency C-section.When she was born, she had significant bruising to her face.
6:09
Um, the forceps were actually misplaced, so they went over her face as opposed to the side.
6:15
And as a result of that, she really struggled to feed, which was quite, you know, heartbreaking-
10:35
Charlie, how widely is it being used at the moment?
10:38
So the device has been rolled out into five countries so far.
10:41
So there's five countries actively using.
