You can see that they are peppered really all across the country, and we heard what the, uh, representative, the military spokesman of the Houthis said, "This is a warning to all international companies, experts, employees, workers, and travelers from all over the world to not operate flights to Saudi airports." General Wald, what do you see at work here?
4:24
Well, I think, so the, uh, Iranians are pretty desperate.
4:27
Uh, they're going after infrastructure that, uh, is pretty critical obviously to the Saudis and other Middle East, uh, nations as well as, uh, the, the economy there.
4:36
So it kinda strikes me that, uh, you know, United States had a, a, a significant error at the beginning of the attack on Iran on a, um, a girls' school, and we've heard extensively about how that was, uh, a, some people call a war crime, whatever.
4:52
I'm sure it was an accident.
4:54
Uh, the Iranians go after civilian targets with impunity.
4:57
This, this, uh, attack on the, uh, airport in Riyadh should be the end for the Iranians.

Mm-hmm
30:17
... and almost kill two of the crew members, and then, uh, go back with a tit for tat or a small kind of, uh, equal response, if you will.
30:26
So I think it's time for us to say, uh, the Irani- A- all of your guests have said this earlier today, uh, Ambassador Haley was totally correct.
30:34
You just cannot, uh, negotiate with them.
30:37
Uh, they're irresponsible.
30:38
They, they're untrustworthy.
30:40
Uh, they're not gonna give up until, uh, they get what they want.

Um, you know, in terms of a, a forced military reopening of the strait, uh, what would we need in terms of, of ally relationships? What would that look like, in your opinion, if you were presenting that to the president?
14:56
What is it we will be striking? If we've destroyed all the military targets on the first round, where do you think we would be headed next?
15:05
Well, I mean, I don't think we've destroyed all of their military targets.
15:10
I, for one, in the analysis of the the June attacks and then the recent ones starting in February, there are some military targets left and there are some missiles left.
15:22
There's some missile development capability left.
15:25
So, and there's command and control.
15:27
And of course there's the nuclear capability.
15:30
So my feeling is that, I probably wouldn't have stopped when we did stop bombing.
17:05
Is that something that we absolutely have to have in writing? No more missile programs for them to harass their neighbors in the Middle East and maybe even places farther away?
14:46
If we get to a situation where this diplomatic, uh, conversation falls apart and the president feels like he has no choice but to go back in and teach them further lessons, what is it we will be striking? If we've destroyed all the military targets on the first round, where do you think we would be headed next?
15:05
Well, I mean, um, I, I don't think we've destroyed all of their military targets.
15:09
I, I've, I for one, uh, in the analysis of the, uh, the June attacks and then the recent ones starting in, uh, February, there are some military targets left and, uh, there are some missiles left.
15:22
There's some missile, uh, development capability left.
15:26
So, and there's command and control, and of course there's the, uh, nuclear capability.
15:30
So my feeling is, um, I, I probably wouldn't have stopped, uh, when we did stop bombing.
15:37
I would've, uh, gone after more missile capability.
15:46
Mm.
