As you're looking at this mission, How do you help the commander understand the environment, physical as well as the people who are there, based on the relationships that you had in this planning space?

people in my G2 shop, I was the only one that had any knowledge of cartels, right? Like everybody else had a vast knowledge of Russian, Chinese, military, Islamic extremists, right? I was the only one that had looked at this before.

And that puts us at risk because the senior fusion techs are now trying to learn stuff, right? The intel sergeants who end up being the most critical part of this machine have to learn new target set.

And so preface that with saying, what a great chance to share 20 years of counterinsurgency, counterterrorism experience with junior soldiers and NCOs who aren't really being taught those skills at the schoolhouse anymore, which is fine because we're tooled for large-scale combat operations now.

We landed on control during mission analysis.

not an E so that intel echelon is what we eventually came to the things that daily come to the border and cross it either people or narcotics in between the points of entry those are the things we worry about and so once we really like drilled down on that threat to control the border we were able to start getting the intel machine rolling on a knowledge because at the beginning it just started with the first mission analysis brief was like there are 13 cartels that influence the border.

And really, we saw an effect of that, of being able to show that there was coordination occurring between the two, and that really went into the partners.
