How did you get into being able to know the ins and outs of not only dogs, but animals in general?
2:57
It all goes back to Mexico, right? Because in Mexico, you grew up in a more natural lifestyle, right? It's that connection with Mother Nature, you know, the understanding of El Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Death.
3:10
Because, you know, living with an animal, you have to understand that it's life, you know, birth, life, and death.
3:16
And so you have to understand those three facets of life.
3:19
So I grew up, you know, understanding that an animal is born, an animal live and an animal die.
3:25
Right.
3:26
And that gave me that profoundness of having a very healthy relationship with a dog, but in a very quiet way.

59:37
What is a life of greatness to you?
59:10
Hmm.
59:11
'Cause people have learned to love an excited dog, an anxious dog, uh, a dog that, uh, that ha- that was a victim, right? So if you rescue a dog, and then that dog was in a bad situation, that person goes and rescue a dog because he feels bad.
59:23
And then, uh, that same person start telling everybody in the family what happened to that dog.
59:28
So now the whole entire family feels bad for the dog.
59:30
So when they describe the dog, they describe the past.
59:33
So they learn to love the past, 'cause they feel sorry for this dog.
59:37
So the dog now is fearful, controlling the house, you know, has... [laughs] Doesn't listen to the humans.

If we think of, think of spirit, think about silence.
63:02
Do you like silence? Okay, silence is part of the spiritual world.
63:06
And what about calmness? Calmness, I think I'm calm.
63:08
Okay, let's breathe.
63:10
And then I changed the instinctual world just by just breathing, right? And then I started giving the information so the intellectual world is more simple.
63:19
It's more clear with the nose, eyes, ears.

Like, who's this person? Like, what are they about? Like, what moves them forward or back? Are they a good person or a bad person? Are they scared? I think it's very helpful if people learn to tap into this a little bit.
57:51
You know, when I go to people's home, the human tells you the story and the dog tells you the truth.
57:57
Just by you looking at them.
57:59
That's it.
57:59
The dog immediately tells, this is the energy we feel, this is the philosophy we practice, and this is the actions we do.
58:05
Immediately.
58:05
The dog always, he's the most honest member of your house.

How do you recommend, young or old, that people start to cultivate this awareness and this?
9:17
Well, how did you develop this? your skills, was it all learned? Or was it all trial and error? Or did you read books? Or did you go to a school? Or was it just like, I'm just going off of pure instinct?
9:31
Yeah, pure instinct, definitely instinct, because I'm working with a pack of dogs.
9:34
So I'm the first human being that talks about the pack, and how to rehabilitate dogs by using the pack.
9:42
And this is dogs that are not mine.
9:44
This is dogs that belong to other people.
9:47
Right.
9:47
And so I'm putting dogs who are now mine, put them back into the pack and then bring in another dog that has a problem, behavioral problem.

So the
7:17
What's, what's behind our deep, deep, deep connection to dogs?
7:22
Adaptation.
7:23
The, we're the only two species that you can find all over the world, you know.
7:27
So no matter where you are in the world, those are the two species that will survive, right? So adaptation is number one, because without life, there's no relationship.
7:36
And so then eventually is a relationship.
7:38
But, but the first thing is the adaptation.
7:41
We are so capable to adapt to the snow, to the sun, to the, to the, uh, you know, to this, to the jungle.

23 MINS LATER

31:13
For sure.
34:39
You know, how do you, how do you respond to that kind of criticism?
34:42
Well, obviously they don't understand the whole energy philosophy.
34:47
They're focusing on one part of what I do.
34:51
They're not paying attention to the whole thing that I'm doing.
34:53
So they're just going after w- of their belief system, what they would do.
34:58
They don't put dogs together.
35:00
They don't packs together.

Cesar, could you tell me about your dog, Daddy?
