Mm-hmm.
15:59
So if you're traveling with three bags by yourself, it's important for you to realize, how is the world perceiving me? It's perceiving me as a woman who is overwhelmed, who is asking everyone for help with her bags.
16:13
So she's not mobile.
16:14
She can't move by herself.
16:16
So now there's a possibility that you're stuck somewhere.
16:18
So having enough strength to carry your own bags, you know, grip strength to carry your things, to move fast if you have to, and to feel strong in your body.
16:27
Now, there is a huge misconception that in order to fight someone, you need to be super strong.

5 MINS LATER

21:37
Wow.
43:42
Yeah.
43:42
Um, but in the end of our training camp, I was doing sets of four to five pull-ups, like five sets, you know? And I was like, wow, that's really amazing.
43:50
And, you know, I was, I was hitting PRs in everything, deadlifts, all the, the training.
43:56
And the most important thing is I discovered a strength in myself I never knew I had.
44:02
You know, our training camp in Portland was a three-day training camp, nine hours consecutive training, and I never did anything for nine hours uninterrupted with, like, literally two minutes to swallow this box of raspberries.
44:14
But I think the most important thing when Everest came into the picture was, do I have the guidance of the right people? And the system that Mike McCastle had, and his track record, and his personal achievements, because I have this thing where I can't really trust you if you've never done it.
44:33
And if you live in theory, I'm not going to put literally my life in your hands.

12 MINS LATER

57:07
So what day are we at? Like, day 46? Like, where are we at?
43:12
I'll jump
43:13
in and I'll just say something because I think it'll be helpful.
43:17
The biggest thing that I took from jujitsu that I transfer there that I think people can use right away without training jujitsu is to ask yourself the question, what else is possible? Because in jujitsu, you have somebody who took your back and they have you on a rear naked choke, which means they have their arms around your throat and they're squeezing with all their might.
43:38
And before you just quit, this is a huge problem that you have, but you go into the mindset of what else is possible? How can I get out of here? It's always forward, never full stop and definitely never retreat.
43:54
So when you're in the mountain and you hear an avalanche coming, you're like, okay, what else is possible? So you're just in a solution-based mindset instead of a quitting-based mindset.
44:05
So that is something that if you never do jujitsu, you can ask yourself right away every day of your life.
44:11
What else is possible with any problem that you're facing instead of what is the mindset that we engage in? Oh, I knew it wasn't good enough for this.

22 MINS LATER

66:29
Or was there any, anything that went on in your head around that moment for you?
