What, what does it mean to you and to your business and your activities?

It's such an interesting question because if you asked me ten years ago, it would be a very easy answer around, you know, environmental sustainability.

However, kind of as we've grown over the last ten years, our main focus is social sustainability and- For us, in particular, it's how do we use coffee and the, the habitual purchase and the connections that are generated through coffee to be able to deliver social change, and the coffee and hospitality industry is one of the world's biggest employers, and we use that space to be able to find people in need in over eight countries to give those people an opportunity to lift themselves out of homelessness through work.

The dignity, the confidence, the purpose that work gives allows us to have a way to create social sustainability in those local communities to ensure that there's an equitable kind of balance in how members of the community kind of interact and, and connect together.

And I think just as a small caveat, as we've grown internationally, you kinda see the word sustainability being used in other countries.

You know, we've seen in the US, for example, when we speak about ESG, and specifically the S you would imagine would be social sustainability like I'm speaking about.

In the US it's slightly more of a reference to DEI, so, you know, looking at kind of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and that's how they measure social sustainability.

And taking the sort of the broader piece of sustainability, what, what are the ways that you are sort of also em- embed environmental sustainability into your broader business?
