So I, I took on this challenge of using gene editing to get rid of particular genetic diseases, um, in a different format than what have, what has been done traditionally in my field, which is administering gene therapies via a virus into a body.

Um, 'cause we've seen that that's really expensive, it doesn't really work, and it's really invasive.

Um, [inaudible] , for example, you have to get chemotherapy.

It's $2 million, and then you also can't reproduce afterwards.

Um, it destroys all of your gametes.
