Surrounding yourself with people who will listen, be empathetic, but also be very truthful in the sounding board that you're engaging with them on.

And I think in my early career as a derivatives trader, I was very competitive, stood on a trading floor with mostly men, and you could never show any sign of weakness.

And man, wouldn't it have been great if I had a personal board of directors that I could lean into at that particular phase? Because it, it was quite lonely, to be fair, and I really wish I would have surrounded myself with a group of people who really mattered in that way.

It took me till really meeting you and getting involved in the cohort that I got involved in to really understand the power of surrounding yourself with a really good tribe.

And I think leaders underappreciate, at least I did, the importance of having that group of people around you, to be able to pick up the phone in a moment of perceived crisis, getting advice from people you really respect, or just having a venting moment.

Because let's face it, as you grow on the leadership ladder and you get more and more responsibility, your ability to vent and ability to be honest with your current emotional state and where you're at, you, you can't do that anymore-
