Wow.

So I start off with, you know, like my tent poles and then I fill it in chapter by chapter.
28:24
So I have all of that usually before I start writing.
28:27
Now, when I'm writing, I'm not, you know, sometimes your characters start developing in ways where you realize, oh, that's not, that's not going to happen.
28:37
And then usually what happens is by the time I'm at the midpoint, I go back and I replot based on how the characters are developing.

And because I don't want to be so rigid that then I'm forcing things.
28:50

But I do think writing, like I said, thrillers, mysteries, suspense novels where, like, you always have to be ahead of the reader to – you know what I mean? Because you don't want them to figure it out early on in the book or shake it up you know at no one to shake it up at some point so that the reader's like wait a sec I thought I knew which is which was me with last looks I was like wait yeah

It was the worst of times.
1:41
So it was COVID and the bookstores were all closed.
1:46
So what that meant for all of us authors, as you know, is that there was no book tour because there was nowhere to go.
