Do you feel that the tools such as the WHO safety checklist and the debrief are done well in ORs around the world? And do you think that would help engender this culture if we were allowed to talk?

Again, we are comparing with aviation and the gap is probably more than 80 years since the introduction of checklists.

I'm convinced that this is the way, but it's one of the steps of the entire journey to be with the culture there where we desire and where our goal is.

Unfortunately, no.

The gap is pretty huge, I can say.

I'm working, fortunately, in a hospital where the institutional decision was to install cameras and microphones everywhere.

We don't have that culture.
