Oh, my
6:53
God.
6:54
I'm sorry.
6:55
If you put just a little bit of red onion in something, it gives it this depth.
6:59
It gives it this kick.
7:00
It gives it like...
7:01
Raw? So, well, that's why they're so great.
7:47
I'm like, hello.
34:45
Everyone has said it's, like, an amazing experience.
34:48
It's, like, changed my life.
34:48
I've been a million times more obsessed.
34:50
Anyways, I was about to go.
34:51
I was so excited.
34:51
I'm in my apartment, zipping my bag.
34:53
I start to feel weird.

So I
9:40
Yeah.
9:41
Yeah, I think I always had that desire.
9:43
And then, you know, no one tells you how to do it.
9:46
You have to just sort of stumble through it.
9:47
And even when you ask someone you admire for advice, there's not much they can say except for, you know, say yes to things that feel right or don't do this.
9:56
But in general, it's kind of like, what? And then I moved to New York and luckily fell into like the comedy improv scene and at the upright citizens brigade and met a lot of cool people who were making their own work and not waiting around for those auditions to come through because when you're starting like you know you don't have an agent you don't even know how to get one you don't know how to get an audition so started doing some comedy stuff and then yeah kind of built that my life from there I
15:10
why did you not get picked up on a stretcher? Be carried out like the queen you are.
15:14

4:46
Um, when did the narrative come to you, a- and was it obvious?
4:50
Yeah, I think shows I've done in the past have kind of been a hodgepodge of different themes and ideas, and this was such a clear story in my mind of girl who thinks everything's going perfect, something crazy happens.
5:01
You know, how does she come out on the other side? It was a very clear arc, and working with Alex was so amazing because he helped me really see, okay, what moment might need a song? What moment needs a joke? What moment might need not a joke? Maybe in this second, sit in your vulnerability for a second-

12:26
He's a good guy.
12:26
Uh, beyond.
12:27
Not only is he brilliant, hilarious, generous, he's also so nice and such a good hang.
12:34
I feel so lucky.
12:35
I think he reached out to me a few years ago after he saw the Netflix special, and we just had one of those, "Oh, let's meet and get to know each other, and, you know, if something comes up, something comes up." And then when I had this show, I was like, "Let's definitely see if he's interested." And so we had a coffee and started working together dramaturgically on it last spring, I guess, 2025.
7:11
That's how serious.
7:11
Drybar Boston.
7:13
Wait, and let's wake it up.
7:15
Can I talk about Drybar? Drybar used to mean something.
7:19
Dry bar used to be a place where you were treated like the princess you are.
7:23
You walk in, champagne.
7:24
It's cool.
