When you were planning this breeding, you mentioned it was an AI breeding as well, what were the thoughts that went through your head when you were reaching into the tank? Why did you decide that Tears in Heaven and Nemesis should be paired together for this breeding?

Yeah.

So I don't know about anyone else, but I struggle the most with breeding good goats.

'Cause, you know, I- I like, okay, well, when I breed I think of, "Okay, what do I wanna improve? What do I, what do I want in this, my mind for this kid to look like?" So when I was searching for a buck to use on Nemesis, you know, I just, I, I just started looking and, like I said, looking at the daughters that, uh, Kickapoo has out of Tears, the, the type that they have, so, you know, the tall, the long, the level type.

And, you know, I talked to Ed, I said, "Okay, what do you see as improvements?" And he said, "I see improvement in, um, teeth." And he said, "I just see consistent type of, you know, the, the, the, um, the general appearance, the, um, the length of top line, the length of rump," which are all characteristics that I love about Nemesis.

And I wanted to breed, um, kind of type for type, something that would improve, you know, some teat size, 'cause, I mean, let's be honest, Nemesis has, you know, larger teats than most would prefer, um, myself included, but I don't.

[laughs] It- it- it's a very small point scale, so it's just something I can improve.

So in that big-picture sphere, when you're looking at your breeding program, what is something that it brings to the table that you wouldn't find anywhere else? Um, what does your breeding program consistently produce that sets it apart? What would you say is your program's stamp?
