So what are our values? What is our moral compass? And who are we becoming? Where our skills are? What we want to retain? versus what we want to use these tools for.

Now, agency is really important for all humans, but especially for young people because we know that when people have agency and feel a sense of control, their mental health is better.

they're better able to navigate stressors in their lives.

And then as we think about technology, we know from our deep listening to young people that there are a variety of ways in which technologies can empower us and give us more agency.

Voice is one example.

Creativity is another.

But there are also a variety of ways in which our agency is undercut and we feel out of control because of persuasive design technologies and the like.

And so we want to share a few of those terms with you so you can get a sense of the kinds of things that have been generated.
