What was going on in your life then and what made you say yes to such an extraordinary thing?

Oh, well, I'll go back to my diagnosis.

I had always been a swimmer.

I grew up as a swimmer and I was still swimming here as a master swimmer.

And I was 36 when I was diagnosed with MS.

And I guess it was that was in 1998.

And then in 2005, the World Masters Games, which just happened to be in Canada.

What are the things that helped you navigate that? Look, I think
