So do you notice a kind of common reason why students choose the Nursing Associate route?

think there's lots of different reasons and I think particularly for everybody that's here um all of you guys are apprentices so I don't know how many of you you actively wanted nursing associate or it was just what was offered to you but I think it's actually a great route for a lot of people um depending on what your ambitions are where you are in your career it can It can be a really good option for a lot of people.

I think you still come up against that kind of stigma of, well, why aren't you doing nursing? Actually, a nursing associate is a brilliant role.

With the students that you've got coming through yourself, what are some of the kind of struggles that they're kind of having at the moment with this course?

I think it is a really challenging course.

I think there's a misconception that the nursing associate course is easier than the nursing course.

And I would say it's shorter, but it's not easier in any way.
