32:24
Yeah.
32:24
I don't know.
32:24
I'll give you an example.
32:25
I just spent like the last year and a half really trying to, um, you know, with the change of world of work with AI, I've been really thinking about like, how do we be intentional about the shift that's happening? I can control or influence that in a lot of spaces I'm in, but the one area that I see that I'm, um, hold really close to my heart is the city of Baltimore, where I live, um, where the city's, uh, it has a, a unique history to it, which it then is uniquely how it shows up today.
32:54
And so a lot of people when I m- for I'll give you an example.
32:57
When I moved to Baltimore, asked if I had seen "The Wire." So that's how that shows up t- in perception of where today, but really Baltimore is not that and way more beyond that, which is to say it's a place of community and amazing people, small businesses, uh, the, the landscape that we get to live in and around.
33:13
I could go on and on about why I love Baltimore, but I'm gonna hold-

So, Carly, before we continue, can you tell us just a little bit more about yourself?
1:26
Sure.
1:27
Um, I guess beyond that intro, I, um, I've moved around quite a bit, uh, in my life and just, uh, following different job opportunities.
1:38
And so within the United States, I've almost lived coast to coast and that's helped shape a lot of how I think about navigating in the world.
1:47
And it's also my passion for things like community, uh, things like, uh, goal setting and performance as well as the ongoing learning, like just being in pursuit of learning.
2:04
And because for me, like moving represented as I said, like kind of career opportunities, but when you move, you start over, you meet new people.
2:11
And that can be quite daunting.

What do you think this moment is teaching us about what it means to be uniquely human?
5:31
So how can someone use these when they don't know what their next step is?
5:36
Yeah.
5:37
I think the one thing that I always triple underscore on is curiosity, to be curious about what's possible in what's next for people.
5:47
And I think that this is immensely important because oftentimes we... unintentionally box ourselves into what we know that's around us, or from a career standpoint is known from the structures in which we exist in.
6:05
And what I mean by that is job titles, levels, And when we get hung up in those spaces, I think we lose the opportunity to speak to something bigger.
6:15
And I'll give an example, which is that if I'm just looking for a director of marketing job, I'm losing the opportunity to talk about skill sets that I have that might yield success.
6:25
different types of jobs or it's about the type of experience I have which maybe it's it gives me a career pivot that I wouldn't have thought about when I was until I networked with someone and just told them a little bit more about who I am what my purpose was and where I want to see impact so I think being curious about who you are, what you'd like to do, and curiosity beyond the structures and constructs that you have every single day is really powerful.

16:44
Yeah.
7:02
So why does that even matter? Is there a reason?
7:05
No, I love this question.
7:07
And I'm going to also give it an applicable scenario, which is that in Baltimore, having these conversations around can like HR group of HR folks play a strategic role in helping.
7:17
the city stay on top of the dialogue around alcohol, in this case around workforce.
7:21
So in other words, where a bunch of people go to work and, or could work.
7:26
And as I've been chatting with friends in the area, I was saying, oh, HR, we can help.
7:32
And they're like, well, what would HR do? And I'm like, well, wouldn't they do? What would we not do? And they're like, no, but really like, what about HR? And part of it's like a helpful question in that when we're collectively trying to solve something as big as like AI transformation and disruption, or there are, it's not to say that people aren't tackling it in my case in the city of Baltimore.

And even though you had that influence through it, it doesn't always track back as clearly to the metrics that you are in control of or actually taking control for some of it.

3:06
What have those experiences taught you about why some people thrive during change while others struggle with it?
3:14
I mean, I think at the core, change is about behavior.
3:20
And I think that humans are complex.
3:24
I also think in today's world, even AI can be complex in the sense of how do we evolve and stay on top of things.
3:30
But really from a change perspective, in either case, but largely from the people standpoint...
3:36
And it's understanding the needs of others.
3:41
It can be tough, especially in the work environment where we're in a different construct.
