PGE has existing programs for electric vehicle owners.

Residential smart charging is the original residential program.

In addition to that, we offer rebates for a home charger installation, for panel upgrades for those that don't have a newer home or a home that was built with a larger panel, and then that allows them to purchase a, uh, they can purchase it through our, our marketplace, or they can purchase it from the retailer of their choice, but it has to be part of our qualified product list.

And we do that because we wanna make sure that we have network-ready chargers that, uh, really, chargers that we know are consistently available, uh, and can be DR ready, demand response ready, so that they can be part of a demand response program going forward.

Um, no matter what type of vehicle you drive, you can choose to be part of the residential smart charging program, and that program allows PGE to call events to either pause or curtail, like, slow down charging, particularly at peak times on really hot days.

But really peak times is when we're really looking at calling these events.

People don't even know that they're happening because they're just happening in the background, and it just slows down things, makes sure that your vehicle is still charged, but it allows the, the grid to have balance, and then it picks it back up again after that peak time.

How do you think about enrollment incentives and customer engagement differently for residential customers versus business or fleet operators?
