So I guess kind of to kick things off, we were chatting a little bit before, but would love to get a little bit of background just on yourself and can you share a little bit of that for the audience?
3:15
Yeah, a hundred percent.
3:16
I love to go into it.
3:17
Um, so I'm Carl, I run obscure VPN where the next generation, next generation VPN that can't log won't lag and works anywhere.
3:26
And there's been a long story leading up to sort of why I think a major, a major question people have is like a VPN, like, wait, why are the people who do the YouTube ads? Why would you want to do anything like that? Um, so I grew up for a part of my childhood and, um, in London.
3:43
And then went back to China and, you know, I was sharing happy tree friends clips with my friends on YouTube and things on YouTube and Facebook and things like that.
3:52
And all of a sudden the great firewall came up.

And like, it just seems like there's, there's a lot of potential concerns about privacy and was curious your, your thoughts there.

What was the motivator or the driver for transitioning out of Core? Was it Obscura? Was it just feeling like you had done your part and wanted to move on to other things? Why that transition? What was that like for you?
19:19
Oh, I think with any transition, there's multiple things that are in the mix.
19:26
But you touched on, let's say, the two Main ones, I think it was very interesting.
19:33
Thank you, Gooey.
19:34
It was very interesting because what was it? I think it was during COVID that I realized the COVID weekend project or something like that, that I realized Mulvad was offering Bitcoin.
19:52
You could buy Mulvad for Bitcoin, but you couldn't do it with Lightning.
19:55
And so I was like, okay, I should just set up a shop or something like that so that people can buy Mulvad using Lightning.

Would you mind touching on why that's so much of a focus for you? I know the great firewalls and influence there, but what users should actually expect out of that and what it helps with day to day?
