What is your background in architecture?

Right.

I went to school at Iowa State University for my bachelor of architecture.

And I think I got into that a lot of people do where they're creative or artsy as a kid, but are also attracted to the sort of mathematics or laws of physics, grounding your interest, your career query.

And I was lucky in that I was able to study in Rome for a semester while I was at Iowa State, and then I was able to tack on to that an internship in Spain.

I had studied some Spanish.

I wasn't really prepared language-wise, but I got an internship in the city of Girona, which is in the north of Spain.
