Caolán, do you support the strike action happening tomorrow?

Hi, Ciaran.

Um, well, just before I begin, just to say that best of luck to the protesters outside Leinster House.

That's an extremely important issue.

But, um, I am a secondary school teacher here in Ireland, and I absolutely do support the strike action that's happening tomorrow, um, for no other reason that the government have not entered into, um, talks with, with public sector workers and unions, um, as regards a new pay deal.

Um, and also, I suppose, because, um, a press release was released from the government earlier today, and it kind of paints public sector workers as the problem, where we are the ordinary people that they say we are disrupting.

Do you suspect they will stay behind you the longer the strike action continues?

That we will have to see.
