I want you to address that, and I want you to give me a sense of what a Fresno State team is feeling when they prepare for Boise State, especially Boise coming here.
2:04
Yeah, I think you're 100% right.
2:08
You can't lose this game and still be in the college football playoff conversation.
2:13
There's one group of six teams across the country that will be in the playoffs.
2:19
So you just cannot lose a game like this.
2:22
Fresno State's already lost a game to USC, who, you know, they're a Big Ten team and they're competing well in that conference.
2:29
But Like you have to win this game at home.
6:30
Is it the competition? Is it him? Or is it a combination of both?
3:57
What is it like for you as a player playing in that environment against that crowd as well?
4:03
yeah it's uh you know the first time we played there was in december and i was surprised at how many bears fans there was in the in the stadium because all this orange was there and Then my teammate told me, I was a rookie, told me like, yeah, those aren't Bears fans, bro.
4:18
They're wearing hunting gear.
4:19
Those are Packers fans.
4:20
So, I mean, it's a very unique experience.
4:24
I mean, like I said, the fans are as good as anybody.
4:26
They're loud.
6:42
Who starts this week? Who should start for the Bears up in Green Bay?
24:53
When you look at the NFL from about 30,000 feet, Cam, as somebody who was a veteran player, What do you see as the issue that faces this league and Roger Goodell the most right now that they have to find a way around?
25:10
Oh, man.
25:10
I mean, what I think is coming is a renegotiation of the collective bargaining agreement.
25:16
There's, you know, we've seen the salary cap rise year over year, far more money in the NFL ecosystem than there was, you know, when I finished playing like 20 years ago.
25:29
So how does that money get distributed? What's fair to the players? What's fair to the owners? What The owners want to consistently add games to the regular season.
25:40
What is the offset financially for that? I know players don't want synthetic turf in any stadium.
25:47
What is the financial offset that is going to come about? I think with all of the TV money, with some of these contracts coming up around the same time as this collective bargaining agreement ends between the league and the players...
27:37
So taking care of the collective bargaining agreement like you mentioned, and I agree with, But but what is the ownership ranks, the 32 people that Roger Goodell, the 32 NFL owners have to keep happy? Is there any world that you can imagine that the right thing needs to be done and could be done via the collective bargaining agreement that would in in any particular year not have the 32 people that Roger Goodell has to keep happy, get that that bump from the previous year?
