Right
17:41
...
17:41
when you're young as well.
17:41
Like that's as the, the, the underlying idea can be applied to both sides, and so I think it's definitely an idea of balance.
17:49
And when you're going through a particular phase of focusing on something, it's really focusing on that.
17:55
So like for example, you might have a, a group of teenagers doing a lot of volume, um, and all that type of stuff traditionally just doing what we've always done, which is fine in a given period, but then when you want to expose them to speed and strength, for example, you have to allow them the space to actually be exposed to real speed and real strength.
18:17
You can't just add it in on top of the volume- ... from what you've been doing in the past.

48:41
Okay.
1:26
Can you sort of talk us through that? Because you're taking people along the journey on your social media, aren't you?
1:33
Yeah, so I've been very open sourced about it.
1:35
I actually have an online community where I literally do my session, jump on, post about it, talk about it and invite people on board.
1:44
I've gone from 30K a week to I'd be lucky to hit one and a half kilometers in the week, but a lot more gym.
1:49
I put on 15 kilos and it's basically a different sport, which is really special.
1:54
Not often do you get to, I guess, re-experience a sport that you've been doing for decades.
1:59
And so, yeah, I feel very privileged to be able to do that.
2:23
And justified, because how much of a risk was it for you to do that? The difference in the
32:12
That's what I say.
32:13
Well, I think that's the difference where I started this back in late 2022 and I've been extremely liberal in the information and the journey and everything I've learned along the way.
32:26
Every podcast I've done after each season, I just... say as much as I could about what I learned, what I did.
32:33
If you watch them back to back, you see the evolution of what I learned, what I changed, et cetera, where I'm at now.
32:40
It's to the point where someone messaged me the other day where someone else made a sub stack of them trying to put together what my training method is from a scientific point of view.
32:53
And aside from some nuance, it was pretty well done to the point where that's a nice blueprint to start from.
33:04
So I think the difference is there's stuff out there now as opposed to back then if it was other sport within the sport.

so and the 50 was i'm not gonna let's just say non-existent just for argument's sake to me it would make sense to come back and be like i'm gonna use this program to be the best hundred freestyler what led you picking the 50 where you've had like limited success in comparison and it's it would make sense that it would be a shorter road to the top in the hundred but yeah you chose an event that you hadn't had much success in?
