Meet Callie.

I am Callie Black.

I love talking about the scriptures and really connecting with God and finding my true spirituality through the scriptures.

I have found so much power ever since I was a teenager.

I realized that I didn't have to go through anyone else to have access to the God.

I didn't have to wait for a teacher to teach me something powerful or someone to preach or anything like that.

Those things are great.

I don't get it very often, but yeah, I shouldn't tell you that.

So what did that look like to focus on your family and to prioritize

that? My strength slash weakness, right? All of our weaknesses are really an extension of some of our strengths, right? Is that I think big and I want to plan and I want to come up with a great idea, but I learned to kind of cut back on that and not feel like I needed to...

take on all of his advisory roles.

He has an amazing bishopric and ward council that can help him.

Why don't I just let them do what their role is, their callings? And then I realized, okay, so then what's my job? My job is to be his wife and to love and support him and to correct him or give him ideas if needed.

But like that is few and far between compared to just the love and the support.

And as my kids were younger and growing up, I just thought like, that's my focus.
