And they told me, they said, "Okay, Callan, if we don't do something, we're going straight to the hospital." And so we just continued to fight.

And, um, since she's quite the fighter herself, we were able to, uh, get her back up to birth weight, and, um, continued on as life as normal.

Um, I would joke unknowingly at the time that I could sit Lakon in the living room, and that I could walk away and do dishes, and she could come back...

That I would come back and she would be in the same position.

And I even said, "You know, I probably could drive 30 minutes away to the local Walmart, do some shopping, come back, and Lakon would still be in that same position." And, um, I thought I was just a blessed mom, that I was lucky I had a super chill baby.

She was a good sleeper, that, um, I was just totally oblivious to, um, the normalcy, I think, of a, a neurotypical child.
