That's what music is
12:39
... actual barbecue vibe that we bring to the table.
12:41
Even though we go on stage as professionals, it's still like you're in my living room.
12:44
When we go on stage, it's like you're at my house.
12:46
If my living room was as big as, like, the Danny Wimmer space that we have out front, uh, I would, I would invite all y'all to my house if, if the record label ever gave us any money, and I would buy a house that big instead of have a rental house and a, uh, leased car.
12:58
But, um, anyway, my dream is to be here, like you're at my house, and we're barbecuing for you on, on stage as professionals, putting on a good show, and that's what Drowning Pool brings to you.
13:24
Nice
13:24
... um, and with my wife, and then everybody was like, "Hey, can I get some shots?" So I went inside.
9:42
You guys put together that record, what you remember best.
9:46
Yeah.
9:46
You know, we put that together.
9:47
That was, um, before COVID and you know, we had to wait on a release for it.
9:51
So we had it together for a while.
9:54
It's one record we did get to spend a lot of time on.
9:55
It was fun for me to go back and there's a lot of little ear candy parts in it where if there's any kind of word I can get some kind of sound or some kind of musical thing to emphasize it, you know, spent a lot of time on that.

What makes Texas such a great rock marketing your mind
8:22
[laughs]
8:22
... whatever it was.
8:23
But we're here with Ryan again.
8:25
Um, and even the stuff we did with Jason Moreno, man.
8:27
You know, we love playing music.
8:28
Um, we love to expand our style.
8:30
Uh, that's one thing that's, that's, you know, affected it.
13:00
Do you like the festival scene or do you like the club scene more with the, uh-
33:40
you know whole different i would say a very different career than you guys probably envisioned for drowning pool but talk a little bit about that man not not so much sinner i mean we all know what it did for you we all know the song bodies the world knows the song bodies which is a i'm sure is a super proud moment for you that being said i've always thought that you guys didn't get as much love as you should have after because everybody thought everybody almost subconsciously put the band as dave and dave passing away they almost kind of looked at drowning pool and they've missed a lot of good music i tell people all the time to go and check out some of the other records that you did and that
34:24
you know i'm guilty of it as well i mean you know with alice in chains uh at first i was like oh it's not the same without you know lane but Dude, they're amazing, right? Dude, we just played with Snot.
34:32
And, you know, Lin Strait's been gone.
34:34
And the guy they have now, man, that dude, he was awesome.
34:37
You know, they're still performing these songs.
34:39
And, like, it's just a natural evolution of bands anyway.
34:42
I mean, 25 years later, you know, people, unfortunately, you know, pass away man we're all human so um but again mike stevie and myself we've been friends since high school with the backstory you know before we had dave we were already writing songs for this record so dave kind of put that on it and you know he was a presence he was amazing you know we missed him god bless his heart um but you know we love playing music together you know You know, we had a great record Desensitized with Jason Gong Jones.
