I'm wondering, do I need to make an appointment to get a real ID to fly out there? And how long does it take to either get paperwork or the digital ID to so I can get on a plane.
9:11
All right.
9:11
You do need a real ID.
9:13
That has been in effect for about two years now.
9:21
When do you need to fly out? Within the next week.
9:25
She's not doing great.
9:27
All right.

6 MINS LATER

If you have a regular Rhode Island license, but you have a supplemental form of ID that is accepted by TSA, is that just a regular passport, Bud? Will that do enough?
19:22
the system need to be tweaked? Is it not as easy to navigate as we're led to believe?
19:28
no no we think it's um the system is proper one of the things that we are working on right now um people will sometimes make reservations when when they see it they check and what happens is they fail to cancel their reservation that they made several weeks out so that leak ties up space and prevents other people from uh joining now we actually have our it uh team working on a fix on that where Pretty soon, if someone makes a reservation a month from now and all of a sudden they get a reservation for tomorrow, there will be a pop-up asking them if they still need that other reservation, which in some cases they may for different reasons.
20:09
But if they don't need it, they'll be given the opportunity or requested to cancel it at that point in time.
20:14
So that should open up a few more reservations once we get that fix in.

This is a trailer.
21:52
Sure.
21:53
No, this is an ongoing problem that we've – we're not the only state that has this issue with duplicating numbers across plates.
22:01
These tolling agencies should be aware of it, and that's why we reinforce it with that letter that we give you.
6:28
Anything that sticks out to you this
6:29
year? Well, I know this year we were able to get the beginning of the e-titling over the threshold.
6:37
So that has begun.
6:39
Then we've had the decision by the board to bring the DTS in-house.
6:46
which I think is a very, very wise move on our behalf that anytime you can do it yourself, you're not dependent on some outside vendor, you can make it the way you want.
6:57
I think that goes true for jurisdictions that are going through modernization, have as much input and be less dependent on the vendors telling you a way to do it.
7:08
Tell them what you want to be done.
10:30
Anything that you particularly brought back to Rhode Island, whether it's from the other regions or just the year of being chair that's made you realize, okay, well, I haven't been home much, but I've picked this up and I'm going to, you know, bring this back as now I have some.
