Um, how did you get that amazing slot?
43:13
Oh, complete chance.
43:15
And, and the whole reason I think I ended up taking the slot was because of this...
43:20
It felt like a real stars aligning moment.
43:23
The whole reason, and this, this is an absolutely true story.
43:26
The whole reason I looked to swim the English Channel, already being a swimmer and an open water swimmer, so it wasn't just completely off the blue.
43:34
But the whole reason I thought, right, the Channel, it's time for that, was because Christmas 2024, I watched Young Woman and the Sea at Christmas with my parents.

So what's been the hardest part of your preparation so far?
18:00
Briony, any? And what about you?
18:02
I normally have a bit of a rule of thumb of if I'm going to be doing things.
18:06
And this is when I'm in a heated indoor pool, say, that's going to be over an hour or not.
18:12
I personally and like I said, I do always eat a banana on the way to the swim, by the way, because the potassium is in there.
18:17
You've got your sugar.
18:18
It's a really good snack.
18:20
If it's less than an hour, I may have 500 mil of electrolytes to sip in the hour before and a banana on the way.
