Now, am I correct in all that?
23:37
Well, well, you are.
23:38
Uh, but let me take your first one about Youngkin, uh, stating that, that the governor violated the Constitution.
23:45
Um, uh, I don't ev- always like to correct the governor, but actually, it was the General Assembly that put a bill through to try to force that through.
23:52
So it wasn't the actions of the governor specifically.
23:56
Now, she signed the bill, so she allowed it, so ultimately, it landed on her desk.
23:59
But it really was, uh, Don Scott, Speaker Scott, and, uh, Scottervo, the leader of the Senate, majority leader of the Senate, they concocted that.

Mm-hmm

20:53
Now, am I correct in all that?
20:54
Well, well, you are.
20:56
Uh, but let me take your first one about Youngkin, uh, stating that, that the governor violated the Constitution.
21:03
Um, I don't ev- always like to correct the governor, but actually it was the general assembly that put a bill through to try to force that through.
21:10
So it wasn't the actions of the governor specifically.
21:14
Now, she signed the bill, so she allowed it, so ultimately it landed on her desk, but it really was, uh, Don Scott, Speaker Scott, and, uh, Scott Cerbo, the leader of the Senate, majority leader of the Senate, they concocted that.
21:26
But the good news is, the good news is my seatmate, Senator Bill Stanley, uh, defended, uh, out of the Senate, we all, we all paid Bill's, uh, tab on that one, and he won that redistricting case to get that injunction, and that's where we are now.

36:24
So, so, so Bryce, I gotta ask you, are the, are the g- are, are the GOP in Virginia ready to meet the Democrats for, uh, for being as radical as they are? Meaning are they ready to do what, what must be done g- given that? And I'm not talking about the grassroots, I'm talking about the party at a leadership level in Virginia.
47:19
If you don't believe in your justice system, if you believe the courts in your community are just a place to get screwed, not a place to get defense, then we've got deeper problems than who the president is.
47:33
You know, I agree.
47:35
Listen, we've done a lot of work on justice reform.
47:39
I remember under George Allen, he went to truth in sentencing, and then You know, we've had the left recently has been like, hey, let all the bad guys go.
47:48
And, you know, we had the problems with the parole board not following the law, but they were just letting these guys go.
47:54
And one of them got out and killed the person that was.
47:58
Anyway, we know the backstory on all these things, but you know, we've lost what a reasonable prudent person would do.
49:43
You served and you, Talk about, you know, what happened on September 11th, its impact on you, and what do you still carry from it 25 years later?
54:01
What's it like to be in the state legislature in Virginia as a Republican watching Virginia tilt the way it has of late?
54:11
Well, Mark, you know this.
54:13
You know the Beltway, and you know Virginia, as you described in your monologue.
54:17
I would tell you, I've been in the Senate 15 years, and since I've been in, I've seen radical changes.
54:24
You know, we used to have this way of doing business called the Virginia Way, and everybody kind of coalesced around at the end of the day, at the end of sessions.
54:32
We all understood our Democrats were conservative.
54:35
We usually had a pretty good position.

5 MINS LATER

59:48
What's the landscape as you see it? And what are the prospects for the Virginia of the rest of this decade?
7:29
Is your state attorney general's office being weaponized against a local sheriff because that sheriff worked with the Trump administration?
7:38
Matt, it's good to see you.
7:39
Yes, he is, Steve Smith in Greene County.
7:42
He's just one of many that the governor and the attorney general are going after.
7:46
The governor has put an executive order to keep our state police from enforcing federal law as well.
7:56
But Sheriff Smith is standing strong.
7:58
He's represented by great counsel, my seatmate in the Senate, Bill Stanley, who has handed Jay Two Bullets Jones, as we like to call him in the Senate, ever since he threatened our former speaker with killing his family.
9:17
And if you don't have local law enforcement cooperating with ICE operations, don't you think that will make it more likely that our law enforcement will be harmed?
49:08
What's happening in Virginia, my friend?
49:10
Well, the good news is, is my seatmate, who I call the goat of attorneys now, is just 2-0 against...
49:18
We call our attorney general Two Bullets Jones.
49:21
And he took him to court in Washington County and got an injunction against the bill going into effect July 1st.
49:32
Okay.
49:33
The attorney general came down and argued... and put out information that it really only applied to the plaintiffs and to the jurisdictions, those few counties that those plaintiffs were from.
49:47
So what I sent you earlier today is basically a summary from Judge Campbell stating that it's a statewide injunction and that they're going to let all the law enforcement agencies uh state police who runs all the backgrounds everybody else know that this is a statewide injunction the law is basically invalid until this is decided through the courts and that uh come july 21st uh our our firearms dealers can go back to normal and start selling some of our firearms i will tell you The law went into effect July 1st, and I have friends of mine that had ordered firearms that didn't make it by the deadline, and so they were in this limbo.
51:02
Well, let me say this.
12:04
Is it good news, or is it just another week to wait on the executioner's row?
12:13
Well, let me, I'll give you some hot information.
12:15
So that was great.
12:18
Lancaster, it came down, but really that deals specifically with the state police and their enforcement of those laws.
12:29
Senator Stanley yesterday morning, my seatmate, who was also one of the attorneys that got the redistricting lawsuit taken care of, phenomenal attorney, filed down in Washington County before Judge Campbell another lawsuit.
12:47
And he expects potentially even by this afternoon, maybe have an injunction that handles all of it.
12:54
So once the injunction's in place, right, July 1st can come and go until this runs its process to the going up to the state Supreme Court.
15:27
to here hold my beer land with these gun
42:29
in this country that's all coming up right now we are joined by virginia state senator bryce reeves when last we checked in with republican lawmakers in richmond democrats still were kind of clueless and didn't have a plan for the basics of running a government you know putting a budget together all right senator reeves did they get anything done
42:50
Well, Larry, we got a lot of destruction done yesterday, and we have to go back on Monday now because I don't think the governor's going to go with this.
42:58
But, you know, we have this unwritten rule in the General Assembly that we don't legislate through the budget.
43:03
You know, bills that die in the normal course of submittal, trying to get through the process, shouldn't show up in the budget.
43:10
But we now have retail cannabis.
43:13
And Louise Lucas, who was under federal investigation, still is, where they served search warrants, somehow snuck in there.
43:22
a little get-out-of-jail-free card in the language deep within the budget that says she can't be prosecuted.

6 MINS LATER

49:00
Is there a danger that these companies will say, OK, fine, then we'll move to another state?
29:57
They're crying by the second week, right? So how much of that government...
30:01
Yeah, they're crying all the time.
30:04
That's just who they are.
30:06
But the reality is that we have 33 military installations Uh, last time I looked, uh, we were number one for DOD funding.
30:16
Uh, almost, uh, California was on our heels and in Texas after that.
30:20
So when you look at all the, the federal military, just military side of it alone, plus we have the largest population of female veterans in the nation, uh, in about 800 to 825,000 veterans.
30:38
call Virginia home.

9 MINS LATER

40:00
Go ahead.
27:11
These Democrat, liberal prosecutors, judges, and there's even a couple liberal sheriffs out there that won't call the feds and turn in the bad guys, and they give them better treatment than they will an American citizen committing the same crime.
27:27
Well, Dan, good to see you.
27:28
Good to be on.
27:30
I'm sorry we have to be on for something like this.
27:32
But look, this is a George Soros candidate.
27:35
He purely has taken the oath to support George Soros and his policies.
27:40
This has cost a Virginian, a Virginian who actually lives in my district, whose family resides there, lost one of their family members because this idiot in Fairfax County might have taken the oath to support and defend the Constitution, but he's certainly not doing it.
28:44
Bryce, as you know, and we've seen this up in L.A. County and up in Marin County by San Francisco, these big liberal blue cities where the prosecutors just turn them, and not just the illegals, some American citizens too, and of course they claim that's social justice, but they'll have a rap sheet and they just let them back onto the streets.
27:01
What did you say to your colleagues when th- that was floated?
27:06
Well, it, uh, it, it...
27:08
They certainly could probably do it.
27:09
I don't know that, uh, you know, there's gonna be a lot of people inclined to deal with that.
27:14
I think there'd be some lawsuits as well with that, and they'd probably lose knowing that Jay Jones is their attorney.
27:20
Um, you know, uh, our minority leader, uh, Senator McDougall, is the one that, uh, stood up for all of the Virginians, and he brought our suit from the Senate, and we won.
27:30
So, you know, I, I, I don't think they have the same caliber attorneys on their side that we have on our side.

9 MINS LATER

36:24
I know, me too
26:44
What did you say to your colleagues when th- that was floated?
26:49
Well, it, uh, it, it...
26:51
They certainly could probably do it.
26:52
I don't know that, uh, you know, there's gonna be a lot of people inclined to deal with that.
26:57
I think there'd be some lawsuits as well with that, and they'd probably lose knowing that Jay Jones is their attorney.
27:03
Um, you know, uh, our minority leader, uh, Senator McDougall, is the one that, uh, stood up for all of the Virginians, and he brought our suit from the Senate, and we won.
27:13
So, you know, I, I, I don't think they have the same caliber attorneys on their side that we have on our side.

9 MINS LATER

36:07
Me too
10:59
The result of this has been Virginians are, are pretty angry at the governor, and she has the lowest approval rating of, of any governor in decades.
11:09
Well, Sean, uh, first let, thank you for, uh, getting the word out, and you did call it right.
11:13
And I, I also have to say hello and, uh, good afternoon to my dear friend, uh, Attorney General Cuccinelli, because if it wasn't for the Cooch, I wouldn't be here 15 years ago.
11:24
I beat a 28-year incumbent by 86 votes on election night in a Democrat district, and if it wasn't for Attorney General Cuccinelli, they would've stolen that race from us.
11:33
So Ken, good to have you on the team again.
11:36
Uh, as far as Abigail Spanberger goes, you're right.
11:38
She's a big liar.

9 MINS LATER

20:27
Yeah, we'll give you, Senator, the last word today.
20:24
So you had to go to a judge and get warrants to raid Ms. Lucas's establishments, right?
20:30
No, Dan, 100 percent.
20:32
And you know that.
20:32
And let me just say this.
20:34
Every one of the highest ranking Democrats in the state so far put out statements saying she hasn't been charged.
20:41
She's innocent until proven guilty.
20:43
You know, the ones that that she works with, you do see that Abigail Spanberger is already backpedaling and trying to distance herself from Louise Lucas as much as she can right now without trying to box herself in.
21:12
seriously throwing the race card in, too?
53:32
What do you think is going to happen?
53:34
Well, I certainly, like you said, I'm hopeful that the Supreme Court justices will rule on the law itself, because there's about three separate areas in that referendum alone, from the 90 days requirement in the Constitution, the early voting part of that, as well as the misleading language and the actual referendum itself saying it's bringing back fairness and that it's temporary.
54:03
And so I think what you're going to see is hopefully they take that up.
54:06
But, you know, there are also political positions.
54:09
Those justices are on for 12 years at a time.
54:12
They are staggered.
54:13
And there are some justices that are up this year.
56:17
Thank
22:23
Before I get into what's going on in Virginia, real quick, as a conservative public official, how concerned are you about your safety, what you see out there all the time, and, and threats from the left that seem to believe that violence are okay?
22:42
Well, uh, Sean, uh, two things.
22:44
One, thank you for having me on.
22:46
Uh, great to be with a fellow warrior.
22:48
Thank you for your service to our country, both in uniform and working for the White House in the first term, and I love what you're doing on your program.
22:56
To answer your question, literally four days ago I got, uh, several phone messages left on my official, uh, office phone threatening not only my life, but the life of my children and my wife, and wished them dead.
23:09
So the Commonwealth Attorney in Orange County as well as the sheriff are taking that up.
25:50
Like, I, is somebody who's, uh, you know, served in the Virginia State Senate, I mean, y- it seems to me this is nuts how crazy this shifted in a matter of days.
27:42
Yeah.
27:42
Uh, but, you know, it, it is what it is.
27:45
It's still reflective that 49% of the rest of Virginia, besides Fairfax County, uh, doesn't want this.
27:52
And so to say we're gonna give 10, uh, congressmen from Fairfax County in northern Virginia, and they're gonna represent the whole other 49, uh, minus Morgan Griffin's seat in the ninth.
28:05
We had to...
28:05
Listen to this, Rob.
31:16
Don't tread on us, sir
31:18
sirI, I'm with you a 100,000%.
59:43
This sounds like some of that COVID mandate BS the Democrats did for three years under the pandemic.
59:49
Well, you're exactly right.
59:51
Yeah, you're exactly right.
59:53
They did that on Friday, snuck that through.
59:56
Quite a bit of floor debate on it.
59:57
And they selflessly admitted that's what they wanted to do because they gave the impression that they were targets.
60:07
And some of us said you wouldn't be a target if you would just stop doing stupid things.
25:14
It turns kids into liberals that think they can knock on somebody's door and get something for free.
25:19
Well, that's probably true, probably true.
25:21
But the, the reality is this.
25:22
Uh, she, she said one thing when she's in Congress, she didn't have to really...
25:27
I mean, if you look at her votes, she voted 96% with, with, uh, Nancy Pelosi, but she could hide in that, the 400-plus congresspeople down there or up in DC.
25:36
The reality is, I had a conversation with her at the beginning of her term.
25:39
I gave her some laudatory comments based on who she appointed as the Secretary of Veterans Defense Affairs, our adjutant general, great people, solid, rock solid, uh, soldiers, uh, you know, good, good choice.
29:00
By the way, didn't a f- initial court ruling stop that?
24:20
Uh, what do you think?
24:21
think?Well, uh, be careful how you e- equate her to Mondavi.
24:25
I did that, uh, recently in the New York Times article, the fluff piece that came out on her, and I compared her to Mondavi, and I said, "The difference between Mondavi and our new governor is at least at Davi- Mondavi admits he's a socialist." And for that, I got taken, w- uh, one of my major committees as a senior member of the Senate, uh, taken away from me.
24:44
So, you know, retribution is key.
24:46
But, uh, listen, I'm not surprised by any of it.
24:48
And look, the truth is she was a CIA case op- operative.
24:52
That's what she said.
27:16
That has never been done before.
55:13
What is going on in Virginia?
55:15
Well, you're going to do guns next segment.
55:18
I'm actually at my local gun store buying some things before they become illegal and I become an outlaw.
55:24
But what's happening with regard to voting is exactly right.
55:27
The Democrats... have a referendum that's going to come on April 21.
55:31
Our Supreme Court are a bunch of cowards.
55:34
They didn't want to take up the issues of law because the General Assembly appoints them.
57:16
But voters have a say in April.
7:33
Uh, do you put your support behind someone or are you just saying, "Hey, let's, let's see who's out there, um, you know, interested in taking on Mark Warner on these issues"?
7:44
Well, you know, Joe, uh, I, I'm gonna sit back.
7:47
Uh, I've been asked to make some phone calls with some people, uh, that might be interested in it, that I think are fully capable, that have, have been in elected office before.
7:57
Uh, I'm not at liberty to say who those folks are till I talk to 'em and, and figure them out.
8:01
But, uh, you know, there's gonna be a quite a few people that jump into the race that have no political experience.
8:08
I think...
8:09
I don't know that that's gonna be helpful.

10 MINS LATER

17:58
