That's kind of a natural transition into my next thing was I was gonna talk a little bit about workplace culture and how do you keep these amazing resources for the practice, our technicians and assistants, like how do we keep 'em? How do we keep 'em in practice long term?

A lot of it goes back to training and communication.

So one thing we've talked a little bit about in the past was checking in with them because as technicians and anybody on your staff really goes through different phases of life, what is important to them is going to change.

For instance, when I first started out working, I wanted all of the overtime.

I wanted all of the hours, I wanted all of the shifts because I was just here to learn more, do more, make more money.

But the more senior technicians, she didn't want all of those, so she happily gave them to me, but she didn't want that to reflect in her pay.

What she wanted was more time off, spending time with her family.

So is there advice you'd give to a new technician coming into the field, what to look for, what to avoid?
